Short Love Poems

Sometimes all you need is some short piece of love poetry to use for a special occasion you are attending.  It could even be a short love poem to write inside a card to your loved one.

I have identified a large number of short romantic love poems that can be used in this way.  While you will also many short poems in some of our other poetry sections I feel there is a need to identify a group for you where you will be able to find something suitable for your loved one as quickly as possible.

This brings up an question I had to ask.

Should I be putting Shakespeare’s sonnets which are all fairly short poems in this category or in the famous love poems category.  Obviously they could fit in both.  But I am told by other people who know more than I do that this would not be a good idea as the search engines will punish us for duplicate content.

Apparently even if it is the same page if it is pointed to through different category names then Google will think we are trying to trick them.  What I was advised to do in this case was to publish a sonnet poem in one category but then to give links to other similar love poems in the other category.

For that reason very rarely will any poem be added to more than category for example you will not find any particular poem in both the short love poem section and romantic love poems.  Where it does happen it is more than likely to be a mistake on our behalf.   It is most likely to happen as the site gets larger and we forget that we have added a particular piece of love poetry already.  If you find something like that please let us know.
